Kehinde Wiley Painting Bought by The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts

I hope you remember that I told you first about the amazing artist Kehinde Wiley and his gigantic, royal-like paintings that celebrate the boldness and majesty of black males around the world. I first discovered him when I saw an exhibition of his work at the Studio Museum of Harlem.

Here's the big news. The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts has recently purchased for its permanent collection a painting by Kehinde Wiley. It's called Three Wise Men Greeting Entry Into Lagos, 2008. Go to the academy and check it out.
